Just before COVID put an end to our live training, we managed to squeeze in a Great American Road Trip with 12 training courses that took us on a 25,000 km route across 44 U.S. states as well as into Canada and Mexico.
We kicked it all off with a “Pub & Grub” in Portland, Oregon on June 27 together with The RAS Solution’s Chris Goodell and BPA’s Sean Welch. Here’s a preview of some of the crazy models we presented on the night and covered in our courses:
Be sure to subscribe to our new YouTube channel to be notified of future videos, and subscribe to our mailing list to receive the latest HEC-RAS updates 3-4 times per year.
After debating a few different routes for our road trip, we finally found ourselves an itinerary:
Here are the courses we held:

If you are interested in HEC-RAS training in one of these locations in the future, please fill out the form below and indicate your preference for one of the following three options:
- Customized in-house course. If your organization has three or more interested attendees, an in-house course may be the optimal training approach. We can develop customized tutorial models using your own specific projects and come to your office with a tailored agenda that addresses your typical project requirements. More information on pricing and content for in-house courses can be found here.
- Host an open course. We can offer free attendance for two or more members of your organization in exchange for the use of a conference room or training room in which to hold a course. This option can provide great exposure for your company among local clients and potential consulting partners, and your own employees can advance their careers and develop new technical skills without additional overhead costs.
- Individual attendance. Please select this option if you are interested in attending an open course. Course dates and locations listed above will be confirmed subject to demand. If we are unable to hold an open course in your area, we can offer online training alternatives with interactive screen-sharing or other training options tailored to your needs.
Please indicate your preferred location, even if it isn’t along the tentative route shown above. If you’d like to suggest a course in an unlisted city, please include your preferred location in the comments and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs with future course dates.
